A child must be guided through the process of opening and accessing accounts on the internet. Be it a social platform or a study-related application, if providing relevant personal information is a must, parental guidance and check is a must. A child, unaware of the threats involved with disclosing personal information to the online world, might fall in the trap of internet bullies or hackers anytime. Financial losses might accompany as well. 

Avoid Accessing Insecure Sites

There are plenty of websites available on the internet that aren’t considered secure. If you try to access them, you receive a pop-up alert for the same. However, children being impatient, many times tend to skip those pop-up messages appearing on the screen, alerting of the potential threat that the accessed website possesses. If such sites are still accessed despite the warning messages, they may end up downloading harmful viruses, malware, and spyware, which may interfere with the security of information and the devices as well. It is hence important that extra care is always taken while accessing the internet.
