With a global approach towards 21st century teaching and learning skills, Gurukul The School ventured to widen its horizons further more. School's Director Academics Ms. PrabhaVerma, visited Daramalan College Cowper Street, Dickson Australian Capital Territory, Australia. Daramalan Educational Society, incepted in year 1962 by the missionaries of The Sacred Heart, derives its vision statement from the Aboriginal word "daramala"- symbolic of The Great Spirit of God Who Enfolds and Protects All. The Daramalan school's Academic Care Charter quite like Gurukul, works holistically on Equity, Excellence and Innovation and fosters a dynamic engagement of international communities. The school's culture of value based annual themes, found a delightful replica in the Daramalan College's current year's theme "2015 - Year of Respect" since the Gurukulites are proliferating the theme "Imbibe Respect Change Lives" in this academic session . Both the lead educators from geographically diverse nations, exchanged hearty notes with their reflections on the changing trends in Education and the ways to grapple the potential of the youth. Ms. Rita Daniels(Vice Principal, Daramalan College), congratulated team Gurukul, represented by Director Academics Ms. PrabhaVerma, for the international outlook and the unique multi-cultural dimensions embedded in the Gurukul Progressive Education Policy and bade adieu with promises and prospects of future collaborations.

Two of our teachers had been to Belfast as a part of one such program and as a reciprocating gesture we were happy to play host to Helen Robinson, a German Language Teacher and Carol Lynch, Head of Geography Department from Victoria College. Their one week stay at Gurukul was conceived as per our learning strategy. It was a perfect amalgamation of learning and exploring academics and our rich and varied heritage and culture. They were welcomed in the traditional way by applying Tilak and were shown the glimpses of richness of our native languages, Hindi & Sanskrit, in the form of Doha and Chaupai recitation. They were delighted with the brief presentation about one of the Seven Wonders and were ecstatic to explore the grandeur of The Tajmahal.
